Remember Spirographs?

Wow, it has been a long time since I stamped anything!  First, I had to clean up my long-neglected studio before I could do anything.  Then, when I finally got going, I didn't want to stop!

When you were a kid, did you have a Spirograph?  I remember doing intricate designs with different size pieces, and when I was almost done, the plastic piece would slip and I ruined my design!  Ah...good times.  Well, we Stamping Divas may be too old for Spirograph, but we can do the next best thing -- the Spirelli technique!

I stamped and embossed "Hello, Doily" (love the name of that stamp!) then used a dauber to rub some Crumb Cake ink to make the image pop.

I used the 2-3/8" punch for the Concord Crush scallop, and gold thread to make the design around the scallop.

I stamped the smallest image from the Delicate Doilies set and mounted it on a piece of gold cardstock.  I finished it off with a gold brad in the center, and the greeting from the A Word For You set.

This is a fun card that we'll be doing at my Second Saturday class on September 10.

Call me to reserve your space!

Debbie

Reminder

Hi Stampers -- this is just a quick reminder that the products from the Stampin' Up Mini Catalog are available only until the end of August.  Also the Buy 3, Get One Free offer for Designer Papers also ends on August 31st.  I don't want you to miss out on these fantastic deals!

My son is home on leave, and we've been having a great time with him.  He's also been our personal hero this week; my car died, and he brought me to work every morning.  My car spent a week with a local mechanic, who eventually said he couldn't fix it, and we had to bring it to the dealer.  They fixed it in ONE DAY!!  That's the good news...what it cost, well...at least I have my car back and it's running great!

Let me know if you want to order any designer papers or products from the summer mini!

Designer Paper Show-off Cards

By now, I'm sure you've all read about the Stampin' Up super-fantastic Designer Series Paper special -- Buy 3, get 1 Free!  Now, I'm going to show you how easy it is to create quick and easy cards for any occasion with the Designer Paper.  These cards were all designed by my upline, Janice, and she CASE'd (copy and share everything) from the Queen of Stamping, Jan Tink.

First up, Beau Chateau -- to give your cards a pretty, classic vintage look.

Next, we have Berry Blossoms, with a perfect, summery look, and that cute new ruffled ribbon.

This card features the DSP Mocha Morning -- love those warm, rich colors.  Two sheets of this paper are flocked, as in the bottom piece here, and two are shimmery metallic.  Yum!

This card uses the Flirtatious DSP, with the gorgeous colors of Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, and Wisteria Wonder.

And finally, Timeless Portrait, another set of DSP with a vintage look.

I hope this inspires you to order some Designer Series Papers in the new catalog and come up with your own creations.  I'd love to see them!
