Happy Fall??

According to the calendar, today is the first day of fall, but I don't think anyone told Mother Nature!  Remember the movie, Field of Dreams?  "Build it, and they will come."  Well, "Make the card, and it will come!"

I brayered some Pear Pizazz on the new Houndstooth Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot.

The leaves are from the Gently Falling set, and I stamped them in Pear, More Mustard, and Pool Party -- picking up the colors in the Spice Cake DSP.  I used a sponge dauber to add a little color to the leaves.

Hello, Doily!

This is the fourth card that my Second Saturday Stampers made today, and I think it was everyone's favorite!

We embossed the big Hello Doily stamp with white craft ink and white embossing powder, cut it into three pieces, and mounted them on Pink Pirouette card stock.  We used Dimensionals to pop up the middle piece.  The birthday greeting is a piece of one of the stamps from the Happiest Birthday Wishes set, and added some rhinestones for a little BLING!




Next month, Second Saturday Stampin' is being moved to the THIRD SATURDAY in October, because our friends from Washington, Doug and Becky, will be paying us a visit.

Second Saturday Stampin'

Here is another card that my Second Saturday Stampers will be making this weekend.

This is using more of the Flirtatious DSP on a Melon Mambo card. 

Hmm...this card makes me want something yummy to drink, like the Strawberry Mango Margaritas that my dear hubby made a few days ago!

Second Saturday Stampin'

Here is another card we'll be doing next weekend.

Stamp sets:  Delicate Doilies, Happiest Birthday Wishes

Colors:  Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist

This is a side-fold card.  I cut out one of the doilies from the Flirtatious DSP and sponged it with some Daffodil Delight ink.  I love that they are white on one side so I can make them any color I want.
