For My Nephew

Here is a card I created for my nephew's birthday, which is coming up in August.  Guess how old he is going to be??

The DSP is from last year, but I loved the bright colors in it.

The ice cream "cone" is made with the Pennant Parade set, and the "scoops" and cherry were made using the Cupcake Builder punch.
I added a little Dazzling Diamonds to the ice cream and a little around the pennant.

It's going to be a very busy August -- our son is coming home on leave, and he is bringing his girlfriend and their new chihuahua puppy, Captain Jack!

I start a kind-of-new-job on August 1st.

Bunko is at my house this month -- it's SO much more fun when it's at someone ELSE'S house!  =)

We also have tickets to see Huey Lewis at Thunder Valley Casino.

I've had my nephew's gifts for quite awhile now; we have a great toy story in Loomis now, called Skadoodle.  Let's hope I remember to get them mailed, and I don't have to pay the big bucks for priority shipping!

Christmas in July?!?

If I was an ORGANIZED person, I would be making 5 Christmas cards each month...taking my time, not feeling any stress.  Instead, every year during the week of Thanksgiving, you can find me with inky fingers, knee-deep in card stock, covered in glitter, and working into the wee hours of each morning!  Will this year be different??  Maybe...with the Pennant stamp set and Pennant Punch!  Check out this cute card:

I love, love, LOVE stamps and accessories that can be used in more than just one way.  (Remember the adorable fish made with the ornament punch??)  This pennant set makes a great card for birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, and even CHRISTMAS!!  An extremely smart designer at Stampin' Up included a tree stand and star in this stamp set to help us get a head start on our holiday cards.  Oh, I'm sure I will fall in love with some of the holiday stamp sets and designer series papers that will be featured in the holiday mini catalog (which will be mailed to you in September), but for now, I'm going to crank out a few of these.  Maybe, just maybe, I won't have to burn the midnight oil in November!

New Catalog Workshops!

Hi Stampers!

The new Stampin' Up catalog is out, and there are lots of fun, new products!  I'm so excited to share some of them with you!  There are two workshops to choose from:

Tuesday, July 19, at 10:00am (just one spot left!), OR Saturday, July 23, at 1:00pm
Class fee is $15 (FREE if you bring a friend, or place an order of $25 or more)

Classes are limited to a maximum of 6, so email or call me (652-4532) right away to reserve your spot!

Also, new groups will be starting in September.  We'll meet once a month -- probably the 2nd Saturday, and I will add an evening one if there is enough interest.  Let me know if you're interested in joining.  Groups members will be required to place a minimum $15 order or pay a class fee.  Bring a friend, and your first class is free!

Delicate Doilies

Another hot item in this year's Stampin' Up catalog is DOILIES!  But these aren't the kind your grandmother used to make!  This is another card designed by the wonderful Janice!

Cardstock:  Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip

Designer Paper:  Flirtatious -- 2 of the sheets of this paper are laser cut, so you can just trim them off and use them as focal points for your card!  Also, they are white on the back, so you can make them ANY color you want!

Birthday Cupcakes

This is another card I made with Janice, my upline.  The pennant birthday card was from her, too, though I forgot to mention that.  Janice has been a real blessing in my life, and one of the best decisions I've made was re-signing under her and becoming part of her Rockin Stampers!

Stamp set:  A Word for You

Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze (LOVE these two colors together!), Whisper White

Designer Paper:  Pocketful of Posies

Punches:  Cupcake Builder (this even punches out the cherries -- 'cuz you know how I hate to cut!)

Also used some Rich Razzleberry ribbon, and the Crimper to give some texture to the cupcake liners (although it's hard to see)


Just by changing the colors and Designer Papers, this card would be great for anyone on your birthday list!
