The Stanley Cup is Back in Boston!
I'M IN NEW ENGLAND, AND THE BOSTON BRUINS JUST WON THE STANLEY CUP!! They played amazing hockey against the Vancouver Canucks. It went to 7 games, and tonight's game was FANTASTIC!! Tim Thomas made 35 saves and got his shut out -- what a terrific goalie he is! We're VERY excited here on the East Coast!!

Happy Birthday to our beautiful daughter!
Wishing a Happy Birthday to our daughter, Courtney -- she gave me 33 hours of labor, ending in a C-section, but since then, she's been a complete joy to us!
Almost 30 Days Later...
I posted the first pictures of our garden on May 14. Since then, we've had the CRAZIEST weather I've ever seen in my 30+ years in California! We lost one cucumber plant, but other than that, the plants are growing like gangbusters! We finally got the automatic watering system laid down. Rocks and bricks hold the hoses down for a few weeks, then we can take them off as they settle in.
These are Zephyr squash -- they are green and yellow at first, but as they grow, they lose the green. I think I will be gone on my trip for the first harvest of these.
Tomatoes have a lot of growth -- but they are so ready for some warmer weather!
Peppers are all doing well; something was eating the leaves; we think it was slugs and earwigs, so out came the Sluggo!
We thought we got 2 pole beans, but it turned out that one was a bush bean, so the pole bean does not have to share its trellis. Those little bean tendrils were so happy to have something to wrap around!
LOVE GARDENING IN THE RAISED BEDS!

New In Colors!
5 new GORGEOUS colors are being introduced in the new Stampin' Up Idea Book and Catalog! These colors will be available from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2013.

I'm pretty excited about Pool Party -- it looks a lot like Cool Caribbean (oh how I miss that color!) And Calypso Coral might help fill the void of losing Cameo Coral (I hope!) The Wisteria Wonder pairs beautifully with both the Elegant Eggplant and Concord Crush. I haven't yet seen these colors in person, but a box is on its way to me as I type this! I can't wait!!
My first box of catalogs arrived last night! I was busy all day and forgot they were coming. We had friends coming over, and when they came in, they said, "Hey, there's a box here for you!" I literally screamed, "Oh my gosh -- the new catalogs are here!" I immediately opened the box and started pouring over the new book. I offered them their own copies to look at, too, but they declined...I just don't know why!! I've looked through the catalog at least 4 times. There are some bee-yoo-tee-full designer papers, some great new accessories, and of course, stamps, stamps, stamps!!
If you haven't preordered a catalog from me, well, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? You're missing out!
Oh -- just a reminder that I will be gone for several weeks beginning June 11th. I'll be visiting friends and relatives in New England. (It's warmer there than it is here!) Email me right away if there's something you want to order off the Last Chance List (retiring stamps and accessories).
