Sail Away

This is an "a-la carte" stamp -- a single stamp, called Sail Away, which is in the Summer Mini Catalog, for only $9.95.  The DSP is called Nautical Expedition, and the colors are Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso and Basic Gray -- gorgeous paper and great for making "man cards!"

I stamped the sail boat with Not Quite Navy ink on Sahara Sand card stock.I stamped it again on Whisper White and cut out the sails to make them "pop."  This technique is called Paper Piecing.

The card base is Basic Gray and there is another small piece that I ran through the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I also used some of the new Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine -- you get 25 yards of this for just 2.95!  It also comes in White and Early Espresso/ White.

Happy Birthday is stamped with Cherry Cobbler and layered on the same color of card stock punched with the Designer Label punch.

This card came together quickly, but I really like it!

  1. Very Nice Card! (I feel like it should play Enya's "Sail Away" when you open it...thoughts?)
